Base Salary

$121k - $182k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Analyze system requirements, program interactions, and interfaces between impacted components and subsystems.
  • Design, develop, test, implement, and support Python and full-stack/web application projects.
  • Provide business-user support for existing applications and resolve bugs and performance or maintainability issues.
  • Develop reusable services, REST APIs, self-service reporting tools, user interfaces, and application improvements.
  • Deploy applications through CI/CD pipelines and support scalable, maintainable, and reliable applications.
  • Participate in front-end and server-side design discussions, code reviews, unit testing, sprint planning, task estimation, presentations, and technical decisions.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and follow agile software development practices.
  • Work occasional nights, weekends, non-standard shifts, or on-call rotations as required.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Hands-on Python coding experience, including Python packaging and shared libraries such as Pandas and NumPy.
  • Experience implementing Python REST APIs with a microframework such as Flask.
  • Experience with template engines, Airflow, Amazon S3, Python IDEs such as Visual Studio Code or PyCharm, and SOA or microservices using REST and SOAP.
  • Experience with relational databases and SQL/PLSQL.
  • Experience with unit testing frameworks including JUnit, Mockito, and pytest.
  • Experience with continuous integration and delivery, including Jenkins, TeamCity, SonarQube, or similar code-quality tools.
  • Knowledge of design patterns, coding standards, modularity, prototypes, Agile and Waterfall SDLC practices, and strong written and oral communication.
  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes or OpenShift, Jira, and Bitbucket.
  • Cloud-ready application design and deployment pipelines on large-scale container platforms, BI or reporting tools, and messaging services are beneficial.
  • Modern UI experience with Angular, RxJS, TypeScript, SCSS, and HTML5, including UI debugging, tuning, and optimization, is beneficial.
  • Financial-services application development experience is preferred.
