Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Integrate Schwab systems with existing Layer-1 blockchains and evaluate or extend Layer-1 capabilities.
- Design and build blockchain infrastructure services including indexers, event processors, explorers, observability tooling, chain data services, APIs, and interoperability components.
- Develop blockchain-facing wallet services and transaction creation, signing, and submission pipelines.
- Integrate wallet workflows with MPC, HSMs, and other custody key-management services.
- Support on-chain transaction execution, event monitoring, reconciliation, failure handling, and recovery workflows.
- Define safe smart-contract and token-standard interaction patterns aligned with custody policies and risk controls.
- Build reliable, testable, observable services and use GenAI and agentic AI tools for protocol analysis, development, testing, and documentation.
- Collaborate with crypto custody, security, and platform engineering teams and support troubleshooting, monitoring, and incident response.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- Hands-on experience building or integrating blockchain or distributed-ledger systems.
- Strong understanding of Layer-1 blockchain protocols and transaction lifecycles.
- Experience building backend services, APIs, and infrastructure components.
- Proficiency in one or more of Go, Java, Rust, Python, or a similar language.
- Ability to work effectively across custody, security, and platform teams.
- Preferred experience with blockchain indexers, explorers, or chain analytics systems.
- Preferred familiarity with wallet architecture and blockchain signing workflows.
- Preferred exposure to crypto custody platforms or security-sensitive financial systems.
- Strong debugging ability in distributed, asynchronous environments is preferred.
- Experience using AI tooling to support complex software development is preferred.
