Base Salary
$93k - $210k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and operate secure, highly available, scalable OCI PKI services for certificate lifecycle management, key management, trust services, and cryptographic infrastructure.
- Own and evolve a bounded platform component, including secure APIs, service contracts, backward compatibility, and multi-tenant cloud support.
- Drive technical design, feature reviews, implementation planning, documentation, and production deployment in collaboration with product and engineering teams.
- Build resilient distributed cloud services with fault tolerance, observability, performance optimization, capacity planning, automated recovery, and operational tooling.
- Troubleshoot production issues through debugging and root cause analysis, and participate in on-call rotations, incident response, operational reviews, and postmortems.
- Implement scalable persistence solutions using relational databases, NoSQL systems, distributed storage, and other persistence technologies.
- Lead code reviews, mentor peers, promote secure coding and testing practices, and maintain technical documentation.
- Perform maintenance, security updates, vulnerability remediation, certificate lifecycle operations, and platform upgrades while minimizing customer impact.
- Independently manage technical deliverables, prioritize work, identify risks, and improve engineering processes and automation.
Requirements
- Strong software engineering fundamentals and experience building distributed systems at cloud scale.
- Experience developing robust, maintainable, and well-tested software with object-oriented languages such as Java, C++, C#, or similar.
- Strong knowledge of distributed systems, operating systems, algorithms, and data structures.
- Interest or experience in applied cryptography, PKI, and cloud security.
- Ability to design secure, interoperable, versioned APIs and platform interfaces for multi-tenant services.
- Experience with reliability engineering, observability, monitoring, metrics, logging, dashboards, debugging, and operational tooling.
- Ability to collaborate across security, product management, and engineering teams and independently manage technical deliverables.
- Experience with relational databases, NoSQL systems, distributed storage, or persistence technologies is relevant to the role.
