Responsibilities
- Build and operate production-ready LLM-powered systems, including retrieval and knowledge systems, multi-agent orchestration, evaluation, reliability, and context engineering.
- Own high-impact AI projects from initial concept through production deployment.
- Partner with quantitative research, engineering, risk, operations, and corporate-function teams to identify problems and deliver scalable solutions.
- Scale promising prototypes and convert team-specific AI use cases into solutions adopted across the organization.
- Evaluate AI-system accuracy, detect regressions, understand failure modes, and improve observability and reliability.
Requirements
- Strong software engineering skills, particularly in Python, with an emphasis on clean, testable, production-quality code.
- Hands-on experience building and operating LLM-powered systems in production, including agents, RAG pipelines, MCPs, tool use, and multi-step workflows.
- Experience with context engineering, including retrieval strategies, prompt construction, information routing, and memory.
- Experience using frameworks such as LangGraph, Pydantic AI, or similar tools, with sound judgment about when to use them.
- Experience evaluating and observing AI systems, including measuring accuracy and detecting regressions.
- Ability to adapt or fine-tune foundation models using approaches such as LoRA and DPO.
- Comfort integrating with heterogeneous stacks such as C#, C++, JVM, gRPC, and Kubernetes.
- Ability to work effectively across different domains and communicate clearly.
- Preferred: contributions to open-source AI projects, technical writing, or conference talks.
