Base Salary
$168k - $262k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and build AWS Neuron compiler features spanning frontends, intermediate representations, optimization passes, and hardware code generation.
- Own customer-critical compiler features from problem definition and design through production delivery and customer support.
- Partner hands-on with PyTorch, JAX, and internal machine learning teams to translate workloads into compiler requirements and resolve hardware performance issues.
- Provide compiler and programmability feedback to hardware teams during pre-silicon design and help bring new products and features to customers.
- Review code and designs, publish research where appropriate, and mentor engineers.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- At least 5 years of programming experience with at least one software programming language.
- At least 5 years of leading design or architecture for new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- Experience as a mentor, tech lead, or engineering team leader.
- Preferred: at least 5 years of full software development lifecycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Preferred: Master's degree or Ph.D. in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field; a background in machine learning and AI accelerators is helpful but not required.
