Responsibilities
- Investigate customer processes, data, systems, and pain points with users and domain experts, translating ambiguous questions into requirements, success criteria, and an initial deliverable.
- Build and test generative AI solutions using LLMs, RAG, agents, and conventional software components with real users and realistic data.
- Develop APIs, data flows, authentication, and integrations with existing applications and customer systems.
- Bring solutions reliably into production through automated testing, AI evaluations, security, CI/CD, monitoring, logging, live-launch support, and stabilization.
- Measure quality and usage, collect user feedback, support technical adoption, and turn recurring lessons into reusable components, evaluation frameworks, and implementation approaches.
- Take technical leadership for the AI solution while collaborating with data engineers, architects, consultants, security officers, and customer teams.
Requirements
- Strong software engineering foundation with experience in programming, APIs, integrations, version control, and testing, demonstrated through work, internships, research, open source, or personal projects.
- Experience with or demonstrable interest in LLMs, RAG, evaluation, and agentic workflows, together with judgment about when conventional software logic is more appropriate.
- Ability to turn ambiguous problems into working solutions, make assumptions explicit, and improve solutions using real data and user feedback.
- Willingness and ability to work directly with customers and end users and explain technical choices clearly.
- Ownership of quality and outcomes beyond a successful demo, including testing, deployment, usage, stabilization, security, privacy, reliability, and Responsible AI.
- Academic or higher-professional-education level in a technical field, or equivalent experience; strong English communication skills and Dutch communication skills for many assignments.
- Curiosity, learning ability, and motivation to build user-focused software; experience with every listed technology is not required.
