Base Salary
$228k - $314k/yr
Responsibilities
- Define and drive the long-term architecture of Faire’s ML platform.
- Establish company-wide standards for code quality, testing, and MLOps.
- Lead adoption of Unity Catalog and multi-workspace strategies.
- Architect scalable ML workflows using Spark and MLflow.
- Optimize performance and reliability of the ML platform.
- Evaluate and integrate emerging Databricks features.
- Engage with the latest developments in machine learning and AI.
- Serve as a senior ML technical advisor to data science teams.
- Represent Faire at ML conferences and meetups.
- Mentor ML engineers to raise the overall bar for Machine Learning.
Requirements
- 10-12 years of experience building large-scale ML or data platforms.
- A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, or a related field.
- Deep expertise in Databricks lakehouse architecture.
- Proven ability to design systems for multiple data science teams.
- Strong background in distributed systems and cloud architecture.
- Demonstrated technical leadership and ability to influence without authority.
- Experience integrating LLM workflows into enterprise platforms is a plus.
- Previous contributions to open source ML Infrastructure projects is a strong plus.
