Responsibilities
- Design and build features using Node.js, AWS, Azure, and other technologies.
- Lead the breakdown of complex requirements into actionable engineering tasks.
- Manage the engineering estimation process for large-scale initiatives.
- Drive cross-functional technical projects with other engineering teams.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to align technical roadmaps and advocate for architectural changes.
- Implement cutting-edge Identity Protocols and Open Standards.
- Maintain and operate services at a high scale.
- Participate in scheduled on-call rotations.
- Mentor senior and mid-level engineers on system design and code quality.
Requirements
- Practical experience using Node.js (JavaScript or Typescript) or a similar language.
- Experience with highly reliable, maintainable, and scalable systems.
- Thorough understanding of application and cloud security best practices.
- Strong communication skills and a systematic problem-solving approach.
- Track record of influencing engineering strategy and completing complex projects.
- Ability to coach and grow other engineers in system architecture and security.
- Experience with cloud environments, preferably AWS and Azure.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills in a remote working environment.
- Experience designing and troubleshooting large-scale distributed systems.
- Enthusiasm for learning about Identity Protocols such as OAuth, OIDC, and SAML.
