Responsibilities
- Develop high-quality, scalable, secure, and stable software code for customer products and reusable services.
- Maintain unit tests and participate in automation and regression testing.
- Apply security best practices and ensure code meets performance goals and metrics.
- Document code, features, requirements, specifications, and changes to existing code.
- Write and present code design specifications and participate in code reviews.
- Collaborate with Product Owners and Product Managers to refine functional requirements and clarify delivery criteria.
- Participate in team retrospectives and feedback loops to improve future iterations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
- At least 2 years of software development experience.
- Hands-on Java programming skills.
- Experience with databases such as MySQL and DynamoDB.
- Working knowledge of AWS technologies including Lambda, ECS, and SQS.
- Exposure to Spring Boot is expected and TypeScript experience is a plus.
- Ability to analyze and solve problems, document requirements and specifications, and contribute effectively as a team member.
Benefits
- Hybrid work arrangement based in Toronto.
- Starting base salary of CAD 88,000–128,700, with potential additional bonuses, stock grants, and comprehensive benefits.
