Responsibilities
- Design and develop next-generation mobile communication services, including SMS, MMS, and RCS.
- Understand business requirements and design and implement core components for a marketing automation platform independently and collaboratively.
- Design and implement application code to satisfy product requirements.
- Own a significant product component through its design and implementation.
- Ensure product quality through code reviews and unit tests.
- Fix bugs and implement product enhancements.
- Collaborate with engineers and product managers on roadmaps and projects.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of experience developing scalable, robust software platforms using Java, Ruby, Python, or an equivalent language.
- A BS or MS in Computer Science or a related field is required in the qualification section.
- Strong knowledge of distributed systems design, cloud architecture, object-oriented programming, and software design.
- Five to eight years of experience with Python, Ruby, and/or J2EE technology or an equivalent object-oriented paradigm is listed as a qualification.
- Strong knowledge and experience with Kafka, Elasticsearch, NoSQL databases such as Aerospike, Thrift, CI, and AWS.
- Experience with RCS is a plus.
- Experience with container-based solutions is a plus.
- Experience adopting AI tools and AI-based development practices is expected.
- Strong problem-solving, critical-thinking, communication, and collaboration skills in a distributed development environment are required.
