Responsibilities
- Build and operate foundational cloud platform components for Apple’s internal and customer-facing services.
- Implement Terraform or Pulumi providers, code generation systems, infrastructure reference architectures, and backend services.
- Develop and manage hybrid cloud infrastructure using Terraform, Pulumi, Kubernetes, and Spinnaker.
- Collaborate with engineering teams and internal stakeholders to evolve platform features, tools, APIs, and architecture.
- Design and maintain resilient, high-performance distributed systems with self-service and self-healing capabilities.
- Write reliable code with unit and integration tests and maintain clear documentation.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience building enterprise platforms for large-scale management of dynamic cloud resources.
- At least 5 years of professional experience with Go.
- At least 5 years of experience with Swift, TypeScript, or Python, or another modern programming language.
- At least 5 years of experience writing high-quality reliable code, including unit and integration tests, and maintaining documentation.
- At least 5 years of experience with Terraform, Pulumi, or equivalent infrastructure-as-code tools.
- BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
- Preferred: understanding of infrastructure provisioning, cloud security, and cost management in AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Preferred: practical experience with HTTP, DNS, RPC frameworks, databases, and operating systems.
