Base Salary
$185k - $230k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and develop the enterprise search infrastructure using various database techniques.
- Analyze user information needs and develop NLP algorithms for effective query suggestions.
- Implement and deploy ranking algorithms to enhance user experience.
- Evaluate and optimize algorithm accuracy based on key performance metrics.
- Track and analyze system performance, leading improvement initiatives as necessary.
- Stay updated on industry trends and align the search system with emerging technologies.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Computer Science or a relevant field; PhD is a plus.
- 5+ years of experience in search, recommendation, or question answering systems.
- In-depth knowledge of relevance measurement, tuning, and modeling.
- Experience with large language models and retrieval augmented generation systems.
- Proficiency in Python and/or C++.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills for explaining complex concepts to non-technical team members.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Familiarity with embedding-based search systems is a major advantage.
