Base Salary
$145k - $200k/yr
Responsibilities
- Train and fine-tune edge-capable LLMs for tactical defense applications.
- Optimize model performance for GPU, CPU, and specialized accelerator platforms.
- Design and implement multi-agent systems for mission scenarios.
- Interface LLM agents with sensors, effectors, and drone systems.
- Benchmark and evaluate agent capabilities, performance, and reliability.
- Engineer scalable, reliable, and fail-safe systems for high-stakes environments.
- Collaborate with AI, LLM, and systems experts to develop solutions for tactical edge deployments.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional software development experience.
- At least 2 years contributing to system design or architecture, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- Experience building and deploying LLMs and LLM agents with PyTorch, Hugging Face Transformers, LangChain, and vLLM.
- Strong proficiency in Rust, Python, or C++.
- Bachelor’s, master’s, or PhD in computer science, physics, mathematics, or a related field.
- Active U.S. security clearance or eligibility and willingness to obtain a U.S. security clearance.
- Experience developing, training, and fine-tuning AI models and optimizing AI models and runtime performance for edge hardware.
- Experience with LLM agent systems using direct LLM API calls or frameworks such as LangChain.
- Experience deploying and maintaining robust production systems.
- Experience with edge AI optimization tools including Ollama, Mojo, TVM, TensorFlow Lite, and vLLM.
- Defense-sector experience, particularly with weapon and UxV systems, is highly desirable.
