Responsibilities
- Lead architecture and implementation of cockpit applications including media, navigation, phone, cluster, virtual gauges, HUD, and settings applications.
- Define scalable application frameworks and patterns and drive integration with AAOS VHAL, Car Service APIs, middleware, CAN, and SOME/IP data sources.
- Lead teams through design reviews, code reviews, technical mentoring, and the full software development lifecycle.
- Translate UX prototypes into production HMI applications and optimize rendering, animation, touch latency, memory, GPU, and thermal performance.
- Develop synchronized multi-display and multizone cockpit systems spanning cluster, center stack, IVI, HUD, passenger, and rear-seat displays.
- Ensure compliance with automotive HMI and safety requirements and lead resolution of critical issues found during HIL integration, testing, and field trials.
- Contribute to technical RFP responses and capability demonstrations for digital cockpit engagements.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience is required; the posting also states 6–10 years in digital cockpit or automotive infotainment within the SDV domain.
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Electronics, Electrical, Computer Science, Information Technology, or Automotive Engineering, with 15 years of full-time education required.
- Strong production experience with Java, Kotlin, Android, C++, Qt, QML, AAOS, HMI application development, and cockpit software.
- In-depth knowledge of AAOS VHAL, Car Service API, Car Property Manager, system applications, and platform customization.
- Experience with Qt/QML backend integration, property binding, abstract list models, animation frameworks, rendering pipelines, MVVM/MVP, and dependency injection using Hilt, Koin, or QML Singleton.
- Hands-on experience with multi-display and multizone AAOS cockpit development, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity, and media framework integration.
- Preferred experience includes AI-powered cockpit features, COVESA VSS, cloud-connected cockpit functionality, OTA updates, remote personalization, fleet analytics, augmented-reality HUDs, ARCore, and ISO 26262 ASIL A/B implications.
