Responsibilities
- Participate in all phases of the automation software lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, coding, documentation, testing, and validation.
- Develop control-sequence algorithms using PLCs or other controllers.
- Participate in project meetings and support team members with control-sequence logic questions.
- Support customer system acceptance activities.
- Participate in worldwide sea trials, including travel as required.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Software Engineering.
- Experience developing control-sequence algorithms using PLCs or other controllers.
- Bilingual French and English communication skills, with strong English writing skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical judgment skills.
- Experience with Siemens S7 Safety is preferred.
- Experience with Windows, Linux, and macOS, and familiarity with Atlassian Jira and MS Office tools are preferred.
- Knowledge of naval and commercial certification standards and related processes is preferred.
- Must be eligible for registration with the Controlled Goods Program and for Canadian Reliability and Secret Level 2/NATO Secret security clearances.
