Responsibilities
- Share responsibility for the availability, reliability, and efficiency of a complex infrastructure of approximately 70 Hetzner servers.
- Maintain, automate, and optimize the existing platform infrastructure.
- Improve monitoring strategies and perform comprehensive failure and root-cause analyses.
- Work to prevent recurring incidents and maintain high system availability, including occasional nighttime interventions.
- Develop software using one or more supported programming languages.
- Contribute to open-source technologies and collaborate within the engineering team.
Requirements
- Several years of experience with one or more programming languages such as Rust, Java, Go, or TypeScript.
- Good understanding of system automation and IT security.
- Practical experience with some of MySQL, TiDB, Kubernetes, MinIO, and Elasticsearch.
- Fluent German and good English communication skills.
- Strong analytical, communication, and presentation abilities.
- Experience contributing to open-source technologies is desirable.
