Responsibilities
- Support the availability, reliability, and efficiency of a complex architecture running on approximately 70 Hetzner servers.
- Maintain and automate infrastructure based on Ubuntu, Percona MySQL Cluster, MinIO, Elasticsearch, Redis, NGINX, HAProxy, TiDB, ClickHouse, and Kubernetes.
- Improve monitoring strategies and perform comprehensive error and root-cause analyses to prevent recurring failures.
- Contribute software development using one or more programming languages such as Rust, Java, Go, or TypeScript.
- Respond to exceptional nighttime incidents when necessary to maintain system availability.
Requirements
- Several years of experience with one or more programming languages, such as Rust, Java, Go, or TypeScript.
- Good understanding of system automation and IT security.
- Practical experience with some of MySQL, TiDB, Kubernetes, MinIO, and Elasticsearch.
- Fluent German and good English communication skills.
- Strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills.
- Experience contributing to open-source technologies is desirable.
