Responsibilities
- Architect scalable end-to-end insurance product solutions using Duck Creek Rating, PolicyCenter, Manuscripts, Utilities, and Core.
- Design target architectures, integration patterns, data models, workflows, and configuration structures for rating, policy administration, and manuscript rules.
- Guide product teams on Duck Creek implementation standards, configuration boundaries, documentation, versioning, and technical-debt reduction.
- Translate insurance product concepts into maintainable architectural designs in collaboration with business analysts and product owners.
- Review solution designs and configuration changes for alignment with architectural principles, regulatory expectations, reliability, and security requirements.
- Develop reusable reference implementations and design assets to accelerate insurance product delivery.
- Assess new features and change requests across Duck Creek modules and evaluate their technical impact.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, operations, enterprise architecture, and security teams to support stable environments, monitoring, deployments, and organizational standards.
- Support production teams with complex incident analysis and recommend sustainable remediation approaches.
- Drive continuous improvement and architectural enhancements across existing Duck Creek implementations.
Requirements
- 14–18 years of experience in technology roles, including substantial exposure to insurance platforms and complex system integration.
- Extensive experience configuring Duck Creek Rating algorithms, tables, and decision rules for insurance pricing strategies.
- Strong proficiency designing Duck Creek PolicyCenter policy life-cycle flows, transaction structures, and underwriting interactions.
- Deep knowledge of Duck Creek Manuscripts, including policy language structures, endorsements, and clause libraries.
- Hands-on expertise with Duck Creek Utilities for batch processes, data exports, and configuration tools.
- Advanced capability with Duck Creek Core, including data entities, workflow orchestration, and service interactions.
- Broad understanding of insurance rating, underwriting, policy servicing, and regulatory compliance.
- Professional experience in enterprise solution architecture within a large organization.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with distributed teams in a hybrid work environment.
- Required certification: CSM.
