Responsibilities
- Develop automation and provisioning systems for virtual machines, databases, containers, and cloud or data center workloads.
- Configure, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes.
- Deploy monitoring and observability tools, diagnose operational bottlenecks, and improve system reliability.
- Troubleshoot cross-platform system and application issues and participate in on-call escalation rotations.
- Implement configuration management, business continuity, backups, disaster recovery, and restore procedures.
- Design and maintain infrastructure security controls, conduct vulnerability assessments, harden systems, and remediate security incidents.
- Collaborate with customers and stakeholders on high-impact technology initiatives.
Requirements
- Degree or diploma in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or a related discipline.
- Strong understanding of SDLC, TDD, CI/CD, and Git branching workflows, with hands-on experience using GitLab, Jenkins, Bitbucket, or ArgoCD.
- Hands-on experience with highly available, multi-data-center hybrid cloud systems using AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Proficiency in at least three of Bash, PowerShell, Python, and Go, plus knowledge of RPM-based software packaging and deployment.
- Experience with Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, or Vagrant and virtualization platforms including VMware, KVM, or Hyper-V.
- Strong expertise in Docker and Kubernetes and familiarity with CNCF ecosystem tools such as Helm, Istio, Gatekeeper, Crossplane, and ArgoCD.
- Experience with infrastructure monitoring and troubleshooting complex issues across system and application stacks.
- Practical knowledge of business continuity, backups, restore procedures, and disaster recovery planning.
