Responsibilities
- Design, stand up, manage, and administer Kubernetes environments throughout their lifecycle.
- Configure Kubernetes deployments to meet STIG and JSIG requirements.
- Manage Red Hat Linux systems in software development or scientific computing environments.
- Recommend and implement Kubernetes cluster sizing, workload utilization, storage practices, and containerization best practices.
- Assist users with deploying scalable containerized workloads onto Kubernetes.
- Deploy highly available support and software applications, including Red Hat IDM, GitLab, and Mattermost.
- Troubleshoot Kubernetes performance issues and develop example deployment packages and container build pipelines.
- Assist with software selection and administration of container artifact management.
Requirements
- Active TOP SECRET clearance with SCI eligibility.
- U.S. citizenship required to obtain and hold the required security clearance.
- Minimum of 2–3 years of experience deploying and managing Kubernetes environments.
- Kubernetes and Cloud Native Associate (KCNA) certification.
- Solid Linux background.
- Familiarity with Ansible, PostgreSQL, and scripting in Bash, Python, or Perl.
- Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) is highly desired but not required.
- CompTIA Linux+ and Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) are beneficial.
- No bachelor's degree is required; technical experience is more critical.
