Responsibilities
- Define and lead the technical vision and architecture for a multi-tenant Finance Technology Platform.
- Design shared capabilities including canonical data models, orchestration, sub-ledgers, accounting determination, data layers, and reconciliation engines.
- Build production AI-native foundations for agents that interpret intent, process transactions, resolve exceptions, and prepare settlements.
- Set technical standards for financial correctness, auditability, extensibility, versioned APIs, and configuration-driven behavior.
- Design evaluation, guardrail, sandboxing, least-privilege, and human-in-the-loop strategies for consequential AI systems.
- Partner with Finance, Controllership, Tax, Internal Audit, executive stakeholders, and engineering teams.
- Provide architectural leadership and mentor technical talent across global teams.
Requirements
- 10+ years of software engineering experience, including expertise architecting large-scale distributed transactional systems.
- Experience leading the architecture of platforms used by multiple engineering teams, including multi-tenancy, extensibility, versioned APIs, and configuration-driven behavior.
- Hands-on production experience with AI-native applications and agent infrastructure such as agent runtimes, tool calling, structured-output validation, graph orchestration, context management, and memory systems.
- Experience with retrieval, vector search, embeddings, agent frameworks, graph orchestration libraries, model evaluation, observability, and prompt/context engineering.
- Experience with event-driven and event-sourced architecture, workflow orchestration, streaming platforms, change data capture, and transactional data stores.
- Experience with enterprise financial or transaction-processing domains and ERP or financial systems of record.
- Experience with EDI, cXML, OCR/document AI, and data-ingestion pipelines.
- Experience with regulated, audited, or high-trust systems and their compliance implications.
- Track record of technical leadership, architectural influence, executive communication, and mentoring across complex organizations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Preferred qualifications include 15+ years of experience, global-scale finance or payments platform architecture, financial lifecycle expertise, service-based decomposition of enterprise systems, sub-ledger and multi-GAAP design, reconciliation systems, secure agentic systems, model fine-tuning or routing, ML for finance, developer experience platforms, and reliability- and evaluation-driven engineering culture.
