Base Salary

$144k - $224k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Develop hardware abstraction layers for newly developed SoC intellectual property in collaboration with hardware designers.
  • Solve SoC and system-level architectural issues, drive debugging, and architect the HAL.
  • Continuously test and deploy the software stack to multiple internal customers.
  • Refactor and maintain codebases throughout the device lifecycle.
  • Build tooling that makes AWS SoCs easier for customers to use.
  • Develop HALs for components such as PCIe and HBM within AWS machine-learning server infrastructure.

Requirements

  • Experience programming in languages such as C/C++, Python, Java, or Perl.
  • At least two years of experience writing functional or performance models of hardware such as SoCs, ASICs, GPUs, CPUs, or IP blocks.
  • Familiarity with SoC, CPU, GPU, and/or ASIC architecture and micro-architecture.
  • Preferred: at least two years of full software development lifecycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, and operations.
  • Preferred: experience working with design verification teams or integrating models into verification flows.
  • Preferred: experience with SystemC or TLM-based modeling, RTL simulation or emulation correlation, performance-model development or calibration, modern C++, PyTest, GoogleTest or similar frameworks, and multithreaded simulation.
