Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and support enterprise-scale distributed applications.
- Build cloud-native and event-driven services for critical banking capabilities.
- Develop applications, REST APIs, backend services, and data integration components.
- Modernize legacy capabilities into scalable microservices while preserving business continuity.
- Translate business requirements into technical solutions with Product Owners, Architects, and SMEs.
- Participate in architecture discussions and technology selection.
- Use AI-assisted software engineering tools to improve productivity and software quality.
- Design highly available and resilient solutions supporting 24x7 business operations.
- Drive DevSecOps, CI/CD, automated testing, and observability practices.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to knowledge sharing across global teams.
- Collaborate with teams across the UK, US, and India.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
- More than 5 years of software engineering experience.
- Strong experience building enterprise applications with Java and Spring Boot.
- Strong knowledge of REST APIs and event-driven architecture.
- Experience with Kafka, MQ, or other messaging technologies.
- Experience with relational databases such as Oracle or DB2.
- Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and DevSecOps practices.
- Strong understanding of software architecture and design patterns.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- An advanced degree is preferred.
