Responsibilities

  • Design future S/4 solutions for end-to-end order monitoring as part of transformation projects.
  • Develop, configure, operate, evolve, and optimize complex order monitoring applications.
  • Estimate and design solutions for change requests and projects, then ensure their implementation.
  • Translate business requirements into technical solutions in coordination with DevOps engineers and internal business partners.
  • Create prototypes using SAP and non-SAP technologies.
  • Analyze and resolve escalated user and system tickets, including implementing fixes, documenting instructions, and training users.
  • Collaborate with external partners and internal BASF customers in an international environment.
  • Participate proactively in agile sprint events and pull tasks from the backlog in a self-organized manner.
  • Support BASF’s digital roadmap and customer-centric digital solutions.
  • Maintain a global power-user community, support rollouts, and lead global training sessions.
  • Support test applications and build automated testing capabilities.
  • Implement ABAP developments and SAP customizations in relevant digital applications.

Requirements

  • Degree in computer science, informatics, business informatics, or a comparable field.
  • 4–6 years of related experience with SAP applications, preferably at BASF.
  • Very good knowledge and functional understanding of end-to-end order-to-invoice processes.
  • Functional knowledge of SAP SD (Sales & Distribution).
  • Strong communication skills to liaise across organizational levels, translate business needs into IT requirements, and lead end-user groups.
  • Strong digital and agile mindset with the ability to work in a self-organized way.
  • Very good English language skills and experience working in an international environment.
  • Preferred experience with S/4 HANA, ABAP OO, ABAP Unit testing, SAP Fiori UI, Scrum or Kanban, and SAP SD customizing.
