Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain backend systems using Java and Node.js frameworks.
- Build scalable systems using event streaming technologies like Kafka.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement new features and functionalities.
- Refactor and improve existing codebases for performance and maintainability.
- Develop and implement RESTful APIs adhering to best practices.
- Work with cutting-edge cloud technologies.
- Solve challenging problems alongside a team of engineers.
- Develop new skills and push technology to new levels.
Requirements
- Masters in Computer Science with 2+ years of experience or Bachelors with 4+ years in backend software engineering.
- Experience with SQL Server and/or MongoDB, including writing efficient queries and designing schemas.
- Familiarity with designing and maintaining RESTful web APIs.
- Experience using Jira for sprint planning and task tracking.
- Proficient with modern IDEs such as VS Code.
- Knowledge of software development best practices, including SOLID principles and unit testing.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and ability to debug complex issues.
- Strong desire for continuous improvement and innovative solutions.
- Excellent interpersonal skills for collaboration with internal teams.
- Demonstrable contributions to open-source projects.
- Experience with cloud technologies, specifically AWS and GCP.
- Familiarity with application virtualization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience building microservices architectures.
