Responsibilities
- Own frontend software projects end to end, including scoping, design, implementation, testing, and rollout.
- Build and maintain accessible, performant, well-tested components, themes, and frontend APIs.
- Create tooling, documentation, and automated quality checks for engineers and AI coding agents.
- Partner with designers and product engineers to turn recurring UI patterns into reusable design-system capabilities.
- Modernize Stripe Dashboard’s underlying codebase and migrate legacy UI patterns.
- Improve accessibility, internationalization, observability, performance, reliability, and developer experience.
- Contribute to code reviews, technical discussions, and documentation.
Requirements
- Fluency with AI-assisted and agentic development tools, including reviewing and validating generated code.
- At least 2 years of professional frontend engineering experience or equivalent practical experience building, shipping, and debugging web applications.
- Strong knowledge of modern frontend technologies, browser fundamentals, responsive design, and accessibility.
- Ability to independently scope and deliver open-ended frontend projects with limited oversight.
- Strong problem-solving, debugging, testing, maintainability, and user-experience skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication and effective collaboration skills.
- Preferred: experience with design systems, frontend platforms, shared component libraries, developer tooling, build tools, package managers, codemods, lint rules, large monorepos, AI-agent integrations, automated evaluation systems, documentation, developer feedback, or adoption data.
