Base Salary
$187k - $240k/yr
Responsibilities
- Solve challenging cloud infrastructure security problems across core building blocks and golden paths.
- Enable engineers to build and ship secure solutions quickly.
- Build and extend Datadog’s Platform Security solutions.
- Partner with internal product teams and influence product direction to secure infrastructure.
- Provide internal feedback that helps teams improve products for internal and customer use.
- Rotate through internal projects and develop deep exposure to Datadog’s infrastructure.
Requirements
- BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related scientific field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Prior experience in Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, Network Engineering, or Cloud Security.
- Experience developing, deploying, and extending service mesh systems in production Kubernetes environments.
- Software engineering background with hands-on code review experience and proficiency in Go, Python, or Rust.
- Experience with one or more Kubernetes PKI and network technologies, such as Consul, Envoy, Cilium, Vault, or Istio.
- Experience with at least one major cloud provider—AWS, Azure, or GCP—and Kubernetes.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
- Knowledge of modern security best practices, technologies, and emerging threats.
