Base Salary

$140k - $180k/yr

Responsibilities

Build and own full-stack features, including data models, backend systems, and user interfaces.
Translate legal workflows and review playbooks into reliable production-grade software with attorneys and AI engineers.
Make architecture and tooling decisions that support rapid development and future growth.
Write maintainable code, prioritize reliability, and take features through production deployment.
Help establish engineering culture and standards and contribute to hiring as the team grows.

One to three years of experience building and shipping production software, ideally at an early-stage company or as a founder.
Full-stack development skills including TypeScript, React, a modern backend stack, and relational databases.
Hands-on experience building with AI or large language models through professional or personal projects.
Experience owning features end to end, modeling data for complex workflows, and making engineering trade-offs under time constraints.
Strong product judgment, communication skills, and comfort with ambiguity in a fast-moving, high-ownership environment.
Legal technology, contract management, document processing, or experience collaborating with attorneys or other domain experts is beneficial.

Base salary of $140,000 to $180,000 annually.
On-site in San Francisco, California, with in-person work required six days per week.
Candidates must already be based in San Francisco or relocate without employer-funded relocation.
