Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Define and evangelize the technical vision for a domain within the Global Payment Network.
- Decompose complex problems into practical, operational solutions and ensure technical design and implementation quality.
- Provide authoritative guidance on performance, scalability, operability, and other non-functional system characteristics.
- Modernize monolithic systems into microservice architectures and event-driven platforms.
- Define long-term platform strategy and API standards with engineering and architecture leaders.
- Deliver hands-on technical contributions while mentoring engineers and strengthening engineering and product expertise.
- Lead cross-divisional projects, architectural reviews, and technology best-practice initiatives.
- Create technical communications, code samples, blog posts, and other knowledge-sharing materials.
- Architect, test, and operate real-time distributed data systems and high-volume pipelines.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related quantitative field.
- At least 9 years of experience in software engineering and solution architecture, enterprise architecture and design patterns, cloud computing, and data architecture.
- Preferred master’s degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering.
- Preferred 12+ years of experience with software engineering and solution architecture, enterprise architecture, web technologies, distributed HPC and ML systems, cloud computing, and data architecture.
- Preferred 12+ years of professional coding experience with commonly used languages such as Go, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, Rust, C#, or Scala.
- Preferred 10+ years of experience with databases and database management systems.
- Preferred 12+ years of experience across the full software development lifecycle, from conception through production support.
- Preferred 10+ years of experience with public cloud platforms, cloud-based productivity tools, or virtualization technologies.
- Preferred 12+ years of experience with networking protocols and third-party distributed-system integration.
- Preferred 7+ years mentoring senior engineers and driving professional development within technical teams.
- Preferred 3+ years leading cross-domain architectural reviews or establishing coding and design standards.
- Demonstrated experience using AI-driven tools, frameworks, or modern software development practices, including strategic application of agentic AI coding tools.
- Experience in fintech, particularly payment processing, merchant services, or digital payment architectures.
- Experience building and shipping enterprise software, large-scale data migrations, platform transformations, real-time distributed data systems, and high-volume pipelines.
- Ability to operate strategically across Product, Design, Risk, and Enterprise Tech leadership while navigating ambiguity.
