Base Salary
$258k - $367k/yr
Responsibilities
- Scale and expand the foundational platform supporting Adyen products.
- Provide architectural and design leadership for Financial Products systems.
- Design and build new financial rails as Adyen expands its financial products.
- Mentor engineers and promote high standards of technical excellence.
- Drive continuous innovation by challenging existing approaches and introducing transformative ideas.
- Collaborate with engineering teams, product partners, and cross-functional stakeholders to solve complex technical challenges.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience in the financial industry, preferably banking or fintech.
- At least 10 years of hands-on development experience in a modern engineering environment.
- Technical leadership experience, including mentoring engineers and leading engineering strategy.
- Hands-on experience designing and building large-scale distributed systems.
- Strong hands-on Java development experience.
- A platform mindset with the ability to generalize complex processes into simple, flexible services supporting multiple products.
- Strong communication, relationship-building, problem-solving, and self-direction skills.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without requiring new visa sponsorship; visa transfers may be supported, but H-1B CAP sponsorship is not available.
