Base Salary
$141k - $222k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and implement embedded software in C/C++.
- Develop software for Layer 2 and Layer 3 network encryptors, embedded cryptographic devices, and emerging cryptographic solutions.
- Use Linux in embedded environments and develop or modify Linux kernel drivers and bare-metal embedded device drivers.
- Work with microprocessors and embedded processors, including NIOS, ARM, and RISC-V.
- Design and implement RESTConf interfaces and work with emulation environments.
- Develop standalone embedded applications and Python software.
- Implement and work with networking protocols including TCP/IP, IPSec, MACsec, and TLS.
- Collaborate with system, test, and hardware engineers in multidisciplinary teams.
- Help develop, test, and certify the Next Generation Encryptor high-speed encryptor.
- Plan, track, and report on project progress.
- Travel up to 10%.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of embedded software design and implementation experience in C/C++.
- At least 2 years of Linux operating system experience, ideally in an embedded environment.
- Experience using Rust.
- Basic understanding of TCP/IP and common network configuration.
- Object-oriented software development experience.
- Agile Scrum development experience.
- Experience with CI/CD software.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- U.S. citizenship and an active Secret or higher security clearance.
- Preferred qualifications include Linux kernel and bare-metal driver experience, NIOS/ARM/RISC-V processor experience, Rust or similar memory-safe language experience, RESTConf, emulation environments, IPSec/MACsec/TLS, Python, standalone embedded applications, and multidisciplinary teamwork experience.
