Base Salary
$190k - $255k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and improve the internal developer platform, including CI/CD pipelines, build and deployment automation, and local and preview environments.
- Design, operate, and scale shared services and cloud infrastructure as code using Terraform, with attention to reliability, observability, and cost efficiency.
- Advance release automation and test automation, including safe rollout patterns and easy production rollbacks.
- Strengthen platform security and help establish distributed security practices across engineering.
- Partner with product teams by setting standards and interfaces and co-building shared foundations.
- Lead projects from concept through deployment and contribute to architecture reviews and the platform roadmap.
- Mentor engineers and collaborate with engineering, product, design, and operations.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of software or platform engineering experience in modern programming languages; TypeScript and Node.js experience is a plus.
- Depth in one or more of CI/CD and developer tooling, cloud infrastructure and reliability, release engineering and test automation, or application and infrastructure security.
- Demonstrated success improving developer velocity, system reliability, or release safety at scale.
- Experience using agentic or AI-assisted software development workflows.
- Strong problem-solving, ownership, system-scaling, collaboration, and communication skills.
- Preferred qualifications include fintech experience, internal developer platform or developer-experience tooling experience, Terraform and GCP familiarity, observability tooling experience, and security experience involving OWASP practices, secrets management, dependency or vulnerability scanning, or AppSec.
- Additional preferred exposure includes NestJS, Prisma, PostgreSQL, Playwright, and React Testing Library; a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field is also listed as a bonus qualification.
