Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Lead hands-on implementation and architecture of scalable, resilient, and performant Python frameworks and applications.
- Develop solutions using software architecture, distributed system, and integration design principles.
- Build solutions for stress testing and regulatory risk projects in the market risk domain.
- Design, develop, secure, and integrate RESTful APIs.
- Contribute to code quality through reviews and software development lifecycle practices.
- Manage technical planning, governance, and ownership of project initiatives.
- Collaborate with Risk, Quants, Front Office, DevOps, and Production Support teams in a globally matrixed environment.
- Troubleshoot, debug, optimize, test, and deploy distributed applications.
- Apply AI, generative AI, and agentic development tools and frameworks where appropriate.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of hands-on application development experience, primarily with Python.
- Expert proficiency in Python 3.x and advanced experience with FastAPI, Django, Flask, object-oriented programming, and design patterns.
- Strong knowledge of software architecture, microservices, event-driven architecture, distributed systems, and advanced SQL.
- Experience with PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server, MongoDB, Cassandra, and Redis.
- Experience with Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, and Bitbucket Pipelines for automated deployment.
- Strong cloud experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP, plus Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with Pytest, unittest, test-driven development, Unix-based operating systems, Git, Bitbucket, and GitHub.
- Knowledge of secure coding, application security, and the OWASP Top 10.
- Experience developing quantitative or calculation-intensive Python solutions and exposure to risk methodologies and mathematical modeling or finance.
- Exposure to TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn, AI development tools, agentic frameworks, generative AI, and foundational models.
- Bachelor's or university degree, or equivalent experience; a master's degree is preferred.
- Preferred qualifications include Java, Apache Spark, Hadoop, Kafka, data warehousing, React, Angular, Vue.js, cloud or industry certifications, banking experience, and CFA or FRM certification.
