Responsibilities
- Contribute code and provide technical leadership within an Agile team to deliver sprint goals.
- Design, document, develop, and maintain enterprise applications using current technologies and design patterns.
- Build horizontally scalable, highly available, highly resilient, and low-latency applications.
- Integrate application development expertise with broader technology functions to achieve established goals.
- Provide technical evaluation and judgment in complex and dynamic situations.
- Influence team resources, budget management, planning, and end results.
- Assess and manage business, compliance, control, and technology risks while escalating issues transparently.
- Supervise activities and create accountability for adherence to required standards.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience as a software engineer or developer using Java, Spring Boot, Kafka, MongoDB, SQL, and related technologies.
- Multiple years of experience with software engineering practices including unit testing, automation, design patterns, and peer review.
- Clear understanding of data structures and object-oriented principles using Java.
- Experience developing horizontally scalable, highly available, highly resilient, and low-latency applications.
- Proficiency with Spring Boot, Kafka messaging, and Hibernate.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines such as Tekton, Harness, CircleCI, or Jenkins.
- Multiple years of experience with Agile and iterative software delivery.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, serverless development, cloud infrastructure, event-driven architecture, API management, observability, monitoring, relational databases, NoSQL databases, or web technologies is preferred or a plus.
