Responsibilities
- Analyze business challenges with product, marketing, operations, commerce, and logistics stakeholders and formulate machine learning problems and objectives.
- Design, implement, maintain, scale, and optimize machine learning pipelines focused on LLMs and generative architectures.
- Fine-tune custom LLMs for cost and performance optimization.
- Monitor AI system latency, accuracy, drift, robustness, and fairness, and establish automated retraining processes.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, frontend engineers, backend engineers, architects, data scientists, and DevOps to embed AI capabilities into Veepee’s information system.
- Act as VeepeeTech’s primary point of contact for AI/ML guidance and support internal adoption of AI initiatives.
- Present business cases and pilot results, mentor hack days, provide AI/ML/GenAI training, and evaluate research papers, open-source projects, and emerging AI tools.
Requirements
- Master’s or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Data Science, Statistics, or Applied Mathematics.
- At least 3 years of professional experience developing and deploying machine learning models, including at least 1 year focused on deep learning and NLP.
- At least 6 years of software development, technology, or software engineering experience.
- Strong Python skills with NumPy, Pandas, and scikit-learn, plus experience with Git, collaborative code reviews, and containerization.
- Hands-on experience with OpenAI GPT APIs or competing services, Hugging Face Transformers, or Meta’s LLaMA models.
- Strong hands-on experience with NLP/LLM architectures, modern deep learning frameworks, statistics, mathematics, and deploying AI models to production at scale.
- Significant professional experience delivering at least one concrete LLM project.
- Preferred experience with React or VueJS, C# and .NET Core, and MLOps tools such as MLflow, Kubeflow, or TFX.
