Base Salary
$160k - $220k/yr
Responsibilities
- Write, review, and ship production code that drives customer and business outcomes.
- Use generative AI tools daily to improve the quality, speed, and effectiveness of technical and non-technical work.
- Own the software lifecycle, including production value, reliability, and maintainability.
- Evaluate and drive long-term technical decisions balancing speed, quality, security, and scalability.
- Troubleshoot complex production challenges and serve as a trusted technical resource.
- Learn unfamiliar technologies, codebases, and domains and solve complex problems using first-principles thinking.
- Build demos, prototypes, examples, and technical content to help developers adopt new technologies.
- Collaborate with engineers, designers, sales executives, and other stakeholders.
- Communicate decisions clearly, seek feedback, and improve team alignment.
- Champion improvements across the enterprise software development lifecycle and advocate for better software development, deployment, and operations practices.
- Operate independently with accountability and persistence in overcoming obstacles.
Requirements
- Direct experience with Python, Terraform, and Google Cloud Platform is required.
- Proficiency with backend technologies such as Node.js, NuxtJS, Express.js, or Python.
- Experience with Google Cloud, AWS, Azure, or Vercel.
- Strong knowledge of Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, Java, C++, or Go.
- Hands-on knowledge of RPC technologies and API architectures including gRPC or GraphQL.
- Experience with relational and NoSQL databases such as SQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or Firebase.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools including Jenkins, CircleCI, or GitLab.
- Experience with Git or Perforce.
- Knowledge of distributed application design and microservices architecture.
- Familiarity with AI platforms including OpenAI, Anthropic, Hugging Face, Vertex AI, Amazon Bedrock, or SageMaker.
- Ability to build and scale enterprise-grade applications with 99%+ service-level availability.
- Advanced proficiency in Python, Terraform, and GCP.
