Responsibilities
- Build high-traffic web applications using PHP and Laravel.
- Design and implement internal and external RESTful APIs and background jobs handling peak volumes of more than one million jobs per hour.
- Contribute to application architecture decisions with the Lead Engineer and research new technologies.
- Lead the technical design of features supporting redesigned business processes.
- Own developed features end to end, from the first code commit through reliable production operation.
- Ensure feature stability, performance, and long-term maintainability.
- Deploy code several times per day through the GitLab CI/CD pipeline to AWS Elastic Container Service.
- Monitor applications using Datadog and Sentry dashboards and alerting.
- Share knowledge and present ideas in regular tech talks.
Requirements
- Excellent programming skills in PHP 8 and Laravel.
- Experience designing and implementing end-to-end, integration, and unit tests.
- Expertise in designing, securing, and scaling RESTful APIs.
- Experience with AWS, Git, and Valkey or a similar technology.
- Practical experience with relational database design and performance optimization, such as MySQL 8.
- Commitment to writing structured, efficient, and maintainable code while actively maintaining codebase quality.
- Willingness to work in an English-speaking environment.
- Experience with SQS, ECS Fargate, or Yii 1.1 is a plus.
