Responsibilities
- Design and develop internal big data analytics systems, applications, and APIs for information retrieval, triage, and analysis.
- Architect scalable solutions and write clean, maintainable software for mission-critical web-based search applications.
- Create unit, functional, and end-to-end tests and safely deploy products used by hundreds of analysts.
- Manage system performance, reliability, sustainability, software quality, and technology optimization.
- Investigate system issues, provide timely resolution and recovery, monitor system health, and support patches.
- Assist with capacity planning, performance tuning, proof-of-concepts, and evaluation of emerging technologies.
- Collaborate with product managers, engineering managers, stakeholders, and multidisciplinary team members.
Requirements
- Background in computer science or equivalent.
- Candidates with 3+ years of software engineering experience across the web application stack may be considered for a senior position.
- Strong knowledge of object-oriented and functional programming paradigms.
- Familiarity with Spring Boot, React, Elasticsearch, MongoDB, Oracle or PostgreSQL, Docker, Kubernetes, and Kafka or RabbitMQ.
- Ability to communicate technical details clearly and effectively.
- Good interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
