Responsibilities
- Design, build, maintain, and execute automated regression test suites.
- Develop automated tests for APIs, log and metric ingestion pipelines, search and query functionality, distributed tracing, alerts, audit trails, and telemetry flows.
- Validate Infrastructure as Code deployments, including clean-state deployments, reproducibility, and zero-manual-step expectations.
- Execute load, scalability, performance, and failure-injection testing against defined targets and expected platform behavior.
- Run regression testing across multiple versions and environments in parallel.
- Identify, document, triage, and track defects; verify fixes and complete regression testing before quality sign-off.
- Collaborate with the Test Architect and engineering teams to improve regression coverage and maintain reproducible automation code and testing documentation.
- Provide regression evidence during sprint reviews and contribute to quality status reporting within formal Agile acceptance criteria and Definition of Done processes.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of professional experience as an SDET, Test Automation Engineer, QA Automation Engineer, or similar technical testing professional.
- Strong hands-on experience developing and maintaining automated test suites, including regression suites.
- Strong API testing and API automation experience.
- Strong scripting experience for automation, pipeline validation, or log and data validation.
- Experience with load and performance testing tools.
- Experience testing backend, infrastructure-heavy, data-intensive, or distributed systems.
- Working knowledge of AWS environments, Terraform-deployed environments, Infrastructure as Code concepts, and OpenTelemetry-based systems.
- Understanding of logs, metrics, telemetry, and distributed tracing concepts.
- Experience validating data or telemetry pipelines across multiple environments or product versions.
- Experience with defect identification, triage, tracking, and fix verification.
- Experience working with Jira or similar issue-tracking tools and formal acceptance criteria and Definition of Done processes.
- Preferred experience includes observability platforms, OpenTelemetry implementations, alerting and notification workflows, audit trail integrity, resilience testing, high-volume data pipelines, security-related regression testing, ERP or complex enterprise platforms, and CI/CD-integrated regression suites.
