Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Perform quantitative risk assessments by quantifying security-related safety risks and collaborating with safety teams on aligned safety and security objectives.
- Conduct security analysis, threat modeling, and risk assessment across Zoox’s custom vehicle fleet and cloud services.
- Translate conceptual findings into qualitative and quantitative risk assessments.
- Work with Product Security, software engineering, and hardware engineering teams while incorporating underlying engineering constraints into analyses and recommendations.
- Analyze emerging and existing cybersecurity standards and create adoption plans focused on tangible business impact.
- Evaluate threats across wireless and wired communication channels in automotive systems and produce high-quality written deliverables.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in computer science or a related software, hardware, or systems engineering field.
- 7+ years of experience.
- Demonstrated cybersecurity expertise across software and cyber-physical domains, including vulnerabilities and attacks.
- Experience analyzing complex systems for cybersecurity and delivering actionable insights.
- Understanding of cybersecurity standards for cloud and cyber-physical systems.
- Practical experience with ISO 21434, UNECE R155, NIST CSF, SOC2 Type2, or similar frameworks and standards is advantageous.
- Prior automotive SoC security analysis experience, including on-chip security features, onboard communications, and interfaces such as UDS, JTAG, CAN/LIN, I2C, and SPI, is a bonus.
- Familiarity with common cloud deployment architecture and frameworks is a bonus.
