Base Salary

$100k - $168k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Define and review functional and technical requirements with clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Configure, tune, test, and support Charles River application workflows to meet client business and technical needs.
  • Develop, test, and correct inbound and outbound interfaces using Java, C#, XML, ETL tools, and messaging technologies.
  • Troubleshoot application issues and determine optimal technical solutions with Charles River Support and Product teams.
  • Lead and manage multiple technical initiatives and implementation or support tasks.
  • Collaborate with business analysts, project managers, team members, and customer staff.
  • Serve as a technical expert on implementation and support projects.
  • Travel 30–50% as assignments require and work at client sites across the United States and Canada.

Requirements

  • At least 3–5 years of hands-on experience in the financial industry with a consultancy or software vendor.
  • A minimum of 4–5 or more years of progressively responsible experience in the financial or software-services industry is preferred.
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or an equivalent field; a BA/BS in business or a technical field such as finance, economics, engineering, or computer science is also accepted.
  • Professional Java and C# programming experience.
  • Knowledge of Windows and Unix/Linux, ETL tools such as Kettle and Talend, XML/XSLT, ERDs, Tomcat, SOAP/XML, messaging systems, and relational databases.
  • Experience with Oracle or Microsoft SQL Server, Perl, SCM tools, and N-tier application architecture.
  • Strong preference for financial-services experience, consulting, OMS implementation, ETL-based system integration, Azure, and Snowflake.
  • Ability to gather and understand financial-sector requirements, manage customer expectations, solve problems across multiple projects, and work independently or collaboratively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal, organization, detail-orientation, multitasking, and self-management skills.
  • Ability to travel to client sites throughout the United States and Canada and work effectively remotely from clients.
