Responsibilities
- Lead engineering teams in end-to-end feature implementation for the routing cost engine.
- Design, build, and optimize ML and data pipelines.
- Develop automated quality-assurance, data-exploration, tuning, and outlier-detection tools.
- Apply geospatial algorithms to optimize pipelines and improve routing-cost systems.
- Partner with data scientists to improve models for movement and traffic patterns.
- Mentor colleagues and participate in code and design reviews.
- Own technical vision and strategy while participating in a 24/7 on-call rotation.
Requirements
- 8–10+ years of backend and machine learning experience.
- Extensive hands-on engineering experience with a strong technical track record.
- Extensive experience with Python, Hadoop, Spark, Airflow, Dask, distributed processing pipelines, and very large datasets.
- Experience with statistical analysis, data quality control, storage optimization, and cloud and infrastructure services.
- Experience mentoring and leading engineering teams and guiding technical strategy.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to lead cross-functional and organization-wide technical discussions.
- Ability to collaborate with security, DevOps, data, compliance, and product teams.
