Responsibilities
- Build automation, tooling, agents, integrations, and workflows to eliminate repetitive TPRM work and improve decision quality.
- Write code and prototype scalable solutions using security and risk data, APIs, automation platforms, and AI-assisted development workflows.
- Lead day-to-day third-party risk operations, including assessments, risk decisions, stakeholder escalations, vendor escalations, and service-level delivery.
- Oversee managed service provider workload, quality, capacity, SLAs, issue resolution, performance, and continuous improvement.
- Manage complex third-party security issues, evaluate technical controls and security evidence, and drive remediation or risk treatment with vendors and internal stakeholders.
- Support third-party security incidents by assessing potential exposure and coordinating risk response with security teams and vendors.
- Improve TPRM platforms, workflows, integrations, data quality, reporting, and continuous security monitoring capabilities.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in security engineering, third-party risk management, cloud security, infrastructure security, security assurance, security risk, or related technical security roles.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Hands-on experience writing code and building automation with Python, Go, Bash, or similar languages.
- Experience building integrations and working with APIs, security tooling, automation platforms, and AI-assisted development workflows.
- Experience supporting third-party risk management or security assurance operations, including complex security and stakeholder escalations.
- Experience overseeing managed service providers, external delivery teams, or similar operational delivery models.
- Experience assessing technical security controls and security evidence across cloud, SaaS, and enterprise environments.
- Understanding of cloud infrastructure and security, identity and access management, endpoint security, vulnerability management, logging and telemetry systems, enterprise SaaS platforms, and networking fundamentals.
- Preferred qualifications include strong TPRM, vendor security, or security assurance experience; MSP performance management; third-party incident support; TPRM, GRC, or security workflow platform administration; internal security tooling and workflow automation; API-based security integrations; and use of LLMs or AI tooling for security and TPRM workflows.
- Ability to communicate technical risk clearly, navigate ambiguity, manage escalations, solve technical and operational problems independently, and balance hands-on execution with program transformation.
Benefits
- Base salary is $180,000-$200,000 per year for roles based in San Francisco, Seattle, or Sunnyvale.
- Eligible full-time employees may participate in Uber’s bonus program and may receive equity awards and other compensation.
