Responsibilities
- Write and ship production JavaScript and TypeScript code daily while reviewing pull requests and partnering with other engineers.
- Serve as the subject-matter expert for Prebid.js and Prebid Server, including wrapper configuration, bid adapters, identity, consent, floors, and analytics modules.
- Monitor Prebid releases, OpenRTB specification changes, and emerging header-bidding standards and translate them into platform recommendations and upgrades.
- Own the header-bidding wrapper end to end, including architecture, release cycles, feature integration, and design decisions.
- Work with Google Ad Manager, GPT, and the IMA SDK across line-item architecture, key-value targeting, unified auctions, and unified pricing rules.
- Maintain high-quality client-side monetization scripts running across thousands of publisher sites.
- Measure and protect Core Web Vitals, memory usage, script execution time, and network overhead.
- Own deployed solutions and address critical issues to maintain reliability and performance.
Requirements
- Deep hands-on expertise with Prebid.js, including wrapper configuration, bid adapters, and identity, consent, floors, and analytics modules.
- In-depth knowledge of the auction lifecycle and experience with Prebid Server, stored requests, server-side adapter configuration, and server-to-server routing.
- Strong working knowledge of Google Ad Manager, GPT, line-item architecture, key-value targeting, unified pricing rules, and dynamic allocation.
- At least 4 years of JavaScript development experience with substantial TypeScript experience.
- Experience using Google Cloud Platform services such as GKE, Cloud Run, Pub/Sub, and BigQuery to deploy and operate high-throughput services.
- Broad ad-tech fluency spanning OpenRTB, SSP/DSP integrations, identity solutions and EIDs, TCF/GPP consent frameworks, Amazon TAM/APS, IMA SDK, and VAST.
- Strong experience with asynchronous programming and client-server architecture.
- Strong problem-solving, technical documentation, communication, and distributed-team collaboration skills.
- Contributions to Prebid.js or Prebid Server open-source repositories are preferred.
