Responsibilities
- Design and develop responsive Angular, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS platform interfaces.
- Build Java and Spring Boot microservices and APIs with secure, scalable frontend-backend contracts.
- Own features through design, coding, testing, deployment, monitoring, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement.
- Design and operate cloud-native architectures on GCP, including compute, serverless, containers, messaging, workflows, storage, databases, networking, IAM, logging, monitoring, and security controls.
- Integrate Vertex AI, Gemini models, embeddings, vector search, RAG, and agent-based patterns into production platform workflows.
- Implement prompt management, evaluation, guardrails, observability, responsible AI practices, and output validation.
- Develop automated unit, integration, API, UI, security, and performance tests and maintain CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code.
- Drive platform availability, performance, security, accessibility, operational readiness, cost optimization, and production support.
- Conduct design and code reviews, establish reusable engineering patterns, and mentor engineers across full-stack and cloud-native development.
Requirements
- 8+ years of progressive software or platform engineering experience, including substantial hands-on delivery of enterprise full-stack applications and cloud-native platforms.
- Expert-level Java and Spring Boot experience with microservices, APIs, security, testing, performance tuning, and production troubleshooting.
- Strong Angular and TypeScript expertise covering component architecture, state management, responsive design, accessibility, reusable UI patterns, and automated testing.
- Understanding of relational databases, SQL, API integration, authentication and authorization, and distributed-system design.
- Exceptional hands-on proficiency with GCP services and production cloud architecture, provisioning automation, and complex cloud troubleshooting.
- Practical experience with Vertex AI, Gemini or comparable foundation models, AI coding assistants, embeddings, vector databases, RAG, prompt engineering, evaluation, guardrails, and agentic workflows.
- Experience integrating AI services into enterprise applications with attention to privacy, security, responsible AI, reliability, latency, and cost.
- Strong experience with Git, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, automated testing, code-quality tooling, observability, and Terraform.
- Experience building enterprise platforms for document ingestion, search, workflow automation, data products, or AI-assisted user experiences.
- Knowledge of Python and common AI/ML frameworks in addition to Java and Angular.
- Google Cloud certifications or equivalent demonstrated expertise in cloud architecture, application development, DevOps, data engineering, or machine learning.
- Experience in automotive, manufacturing, or another large-scale regulated enterprise environment.
- Strong analytical, communication, collaboration, and technical leadership skills.
