Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, deployment, and monitoring of data pipelines, dashboards, and related systems.
- Design, construct, and maintain resilient cloud-based data processing and microservice architectures.
- Combine machine learning insights from multiple independent data sources to improve product information at scale.
- Deliver high-quality, testable, dependable systems through reviews, automation, and mentorship.
- Collaborate with engineering peers, applied scientists, product owners, and other stakeholders.
- Iteratively test features, improve team processes, and contribute to both greenfield development and existing-system enhancements.
Requirements
- Deep experience designing and implementing data pipelines using technologies such as Databricks, Spark, and Airflow.
- Considerable engineering experience and the ability to solve tangible customer problems.
- Comfort working across Databricks, Python, Airflow, Kubernetes, Kotlin, PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, and AWS.
- Ability to work collaboratively across complex technical domains with ML engineers, applied scientists, and software engineering teams.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including concise technical documentation.
- Ability to navigate greenfield feature development and improvements to existing systems.
- Passion for engineering, system design, software development, and problem-solving.
