Base Salary
$150k - $400k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and build large scale search infrastructure with strict latency and reliability requirements.
- Deep dive into search internals to shape the technical direction of core search infrastructure.
- Operate production services end to end, including monitoring and performance optimization.
- Lead incident responses and contribute to postmortems to maintain high standards.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in developing large-scale infrastructure or distributed systems.
- Proficient in high performance Rust, C++, or JVM-based languages.
- Hands-on experience with search and indexing technologies like Elasticsearch or Lucene.
- Understanding of operating system internals, filesystems, networking, or database storage engines.
- Strong focus on performance, reliability, scalability, and quality.
- Ability to take ownership of problems and adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment.
