Responsibilities
- Identify, define, maintain, and evolve software requirements throughout the product lifecycle and support the preparation and quality verification of Software Requirements Specifications for ground systems.
- Define software product designs from requirements while maintaining system/software requirements traceability and alignment with the agreed project architecture.
- Develop and integrate software for engineering-support and mission-support ground systems, including third-party software parts where applicable.
- Improve software design, coding, and testing environments in collaboration with specialists and system administrators, including resource allocation, license management, and performance evaluation.
- Develop software within an agile development process and help implement an automated build pipeline for software releases.
- Conduct software qualification activities using automated-testing tools while maintaining compliance with test procedures and updating them as requirements evolve.
- Define Statements of Work for external software development when applicable.
Requirements
- Degree in Electronic Engineering or Computer Engineering.
- At least four years of experience in the aerospace sector developing ground-system software.
- Experience with .NET software development and programming in C#, C++, and Ada.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Visual Studio, Windows Forms, WPF, Entity Framework, Microsoft Prism, and Microsoft Managed Extensibility Framework.
- Experience interfacing with Oracle, SQL Server, and MySQL databases and knowledge of SQL.
- Knowledge of IBM Engineering Workflow Management or equivalent technologies for software and document version/configuration management.
- Knowledge of automated-testing tools such as Keysight Eggplant or equivalents and the Sensetalk programming language.
- Ability to analyze software performance relative to available hardware resources and develop applications for web-based and on-premise architectures.
- Knowledge of Microsoft operating systems and requirements/software-design traceability tools such as DOORS and Rhapsody.
- Preferred knowledge of applicable aerospace design standards and certification, including AQAP, MIL, FAA, and EASA; avionics systems for flight-data acquisition and recording; and project engineering.
- Excellent written and spoken English at B2 level or higher.
- Ability to work in teams, collaborate across cultures, organize and plan tasks independently, solve problems, and monitor time, cost, and quality.
- Willingness to undertake short business trips.
