Responsibilities
- Design and implement comprehensive test plans and strategies covering functionality, performance, scale, security, and user experience.
- Create and execute automated UI test scripts using Selenium WebDriver and Playwright for web and Angular-based applications.
- Develop API automation using REST Assured, Postman, Karate, and related tools.
- Apply BDD practices with Cucumber and feature files.
- Perform manual, functional, performance, database, and end-to-end testing using appropriate test approaches and frameworks.
- Conduct root-cause analysis, document defects, and work with developers to support resolution.
- Write complex SQL queries and validate database behavior and design.
- Collaborate with business analysts, business stakeholders, and developers to understand requirements and test cases.
- Contribute to automation strategy, testing frameworks, code reviews, and quality best practices.
- Use GitLab and related CI/CD tooling to support automated testing and delivery.
- Identify project issues and risks, escalate delivery concerns, and support risk mitigation and control requirements.
- Train and mentor junior testers and manage their performance.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver, Playwright, and Angular-based applications.
- Thorough knowledge of BDD, Cucumber, and feature files.
- Extensive experience with API automation tools including REST Assured, Postman, or Karate.
- Experience with GitLab and CI/CD tools.
- Extensive knowledge of testing lifecycles, core testing processes, test techniques, automation, and manual testing.
- Experience implementing test strategies and frameworks for complex, high-throughput distributed systems.
- Understanding of performance testing tools such as JMeter and LoadRunner.
- Good understanding of database design and ability to write complex SQL queries.
- Experience collaborating with business analysts, stakeholders, and developers on test cases and requirements.
- Ability to identify and escalate project issues and risks affecting delivery timelines.
- Strong organization, oral and written communication, and technical documentation skills.
- Banking compliance experience and knowledge of financial products such as equities or commodities are preferred.
- Experience with UI testing tools, API automation, and performance testing is valued.
