Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive test plans and strategies for software functionality and quality standards.
- Create and execute automated test scripts for web, Angular-based, API, performance, and end-to-end testing.
- Test complex distributed systems for functional correctness, performance, scale, security, and reliability.
- Collaborate with business analysts, stakeholders, developers, and cross-functional teams to understand requirements and define acceptance criteria.
- Analyze defects, identify root causes, provide detailed information to developers, and support resolution.
- Drive automation best practices using Selenium, Cucumber, REST Assured, and related technologies.
- Contribute to code reviews, testing process improvements, technology communities, and quality standards.
- Train and mentor junior testers and manage their performance.
- Identify project issues and risks that may affect delivery timelines and escalate them to vendors or management as needed.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver for web and Angular-based applications and with Playwright.
- Thorough knowledge of behavior-driven development using Cucumber and feature files.
- Extensive experience with API automation tools including REST Assured, Postman, and Karate.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitLab.
- Extensive knowledge of the testing lifecycle, core testing processes, test approaches, and manual testing.
- Experience implementing test strategies and frameworks for complex, high-throughput distributed systems.
- Understanding of performance testing tools including JMeter and LoadRunner.
- Understanding of database design and ability to write complex SQL queries.
- Ability to communicate clearly, document system architectures and workflows, and collaborate with technical and business stakeholders.
- Banking compliance domain experience and knowledge of financial products such as equities or commodities are preferred.
- Ability to identify risks, influence decisions, and escalate delivery concerns appropriately.
